BIOS
Haley is a 9yo fiddler/violinist who began taking Suzuki violin lessons at the Friends School in Mullica Hill NJ. Her talent and love of violin was quickly recognized and at 4yo she began studying violin under Gerry Rice of Haddonfield NJ. Around her 5th birthday Haley showed an interest in Celtic music after attending a concert given by fiddler Kevin Burke accompanied on guitar by Cal Scott. She began studying Celtic fiddle with Kathy DeAngelo of Voorhee, NJ in August of 2007. In July 2009. she began lessons with fiddling great Brian Conway. Haley also performs with a group of young Celtic musicians called Next Generation Kids. This past April 2011 Haley became a 3X MidAtlantic Region under 12 Irish fiddle champion. She represented the United States in the All Ireland competition in 2009, 2010, and 2011. She took 1st place in the Bethlehem Celtic Fest under 13 solo fiddle and the Maryland State Fleadh under 13 Irish fiddle championships this past fall. She also placed 1st in 12 and under fiddle at the New England Fiddle Fest and 2nd in the open Trick & Fancy competition accompanied by Dylan.
Dylan is a 14yo multi-instrumentalist (guitar, banjo, mandolin) who enjoys all types of music. He decided he wanted to accompany his sister for a local talent show in May 2008 and has been playing with her since. He has studied guitar with Mark Sutton at Music Central in Vineland since he was 8yo and Celtic guitar with Zach Leger in CA using Skype. Dylan is teaching himself banjo and mandolin and he likes to compose as well. Dylan placed 1st in the Maryland State Fleadh under 13 guitar accompaniment competition. He also qualified to compete in the All Ireland competition in August 2011 with a 2nd place win in the under 15 accompaniment competition.
Newt is a 16yo percussionist who plays bodhran, beat box (cahone), or full drum set. He joined his siblings in June 2008. He has been studying drums since he was 8yo with Ron Mortillite (drumology@comcast.net) at Music Central in Vineland NJ.
